Area Targets
Large spaces like factories, museums, and retail locations can be difficult to build AR experiences for. Many of the AR development solutions available today aren’t designed for creating large scale augmented reality applications, which is why PTC created Vuforia Area Targets to solve the current industry technology gap. Area Targets enable customers to use an entire space to create a persistent augmented reality experience. This target type is created through generating a 3D scan of your desired indoor environment and can support spaces up to 300,000 sqft.

Vuforia Model Targets are created using 3D CAD models, which enable applications to recognize a real-life machine or product and overlay digital information on top of it with exceptional accuracy.
